Mizuno has recently released the JPX 925 Fli-Hi hybrids, designed to help golfers achieve more height, distance, and consistency compared to long irons. These hybrids are priced at $150 each and come with a UST Mamiya Recoil Dart ESX shaft and Lamkin UT+ grip. They feature a 17-4 stainless steel face, a 431 stainless steel body, and internal tungsten weight, with options available in 19-, 22-, 25-, and 28-degree versions. Pre-orders for these hybrids will be available on Sept. 5, with in-store availability starting on Sept. 19.

The JPX 925 Fli-Hi hybrids are specifically targeted towards golfers who struggle with hitting high draws with long irons. These hybrids offer a low profile and draw bias, making it easier for recreational golfers to achieve consistency and hit straighter shots. Unlike long irons, hybrids have a lower center of gravity and a larger size, making solid contact and consistency more achievable for many players.

The design of the JPX 925 Fli-Hi hybrids varies based on their loft, with wider profiles in stronger-lofted clubs, and decreasing width in higher lofted versions. The hybrids have a matte-black crown and a low-profile design to inspire confidence at address, with no visual distractions. The 17-4 stainless steel face is attached to a 431 stainless steel body, with internal mass placed for easier face closure during the downswing for more consistent shots.

The Wave Sole design of the hybrids compresses at impact to lower the sweet spot, helping retain ball speed on thin-struck shots. The leading edge has been rounded and extra bounce added to improve turf interaction, particularly on fat shots. While the hybrids do not have an adjustable hosel, the bendable hosel allows custom fitters to adjust lofts and help golfers fill distance gaps.

The Mizuno JPX 925 Fli-Hi hybrids are priced at $150 each, the same as the new JPX 925 Hot Metal, Hot Metal Pro, and Hot Metal HL irons. This allows golfers to mix and match clubs with a custom fitter to create an ideal set without increasing the price. Overall, these hybrids are designed to help recreational golfers enhance their game by providing the height, distance, and consistency needed for improved performance on the course.
