Despite rushing her rehab to return to play at The Annika driven by Gainbridge event in Florida, Korda managed to shoot a 4-under 66 in the first round, trailing leaders Charley Hull and Jiwon Jeon by just two strokes.

As the 2024 Rolex Player of the Year and a six-time winner that season, Korda expressed gratitude for being able to return to competition after a two-month hiatus. She admitted feeling nervous initially due to the uncertainty of her game after the break but was pleased with her performance on the course. Korda had not walked 18 holes since mid-September in Cincinnati and was cleared to practice by a doctor on Oct. 28, marking her comeback to competitive golf.
