Chart Hills Golf Club in Kent has recently unveiled the latest phase of its investment plans, which includes a new six-hole par-3 course and a practice putting green designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Known as ‘The Loop’, this short course offers golfers holes ranging from 50 to 100 yards, providing a unique and challenging experience perfect for honing short game skills.
The new 668 square metre practice putting green, inspired by Sir Nick Faldo’s favourite greens, is also now open for use by members and guests. Both of these new additions aim to enhance the overall golfing experience at Chart Hills and help players improve their skills.
The Loop allows a 4-ball to play in less than half an hour, with six par-3s of varying distances. The large greens offer a wide variety of pin positions, making it ideal for players of all standards to sharpen their wedge play and putting skills.
As part of the enhancements to the championship course, all 18 holes have undergone refurbishments, including extensive work on the tee boxes. The tee boxes were stripped down, leveled, and returfed, resulting in 72 immaculate tee boxes that can withstand foot traffic and weather conditions year-round.
Moreover, all tee markers have been replaced and numbered according to their yardage, providing players with options based on their playing ability and distance capabilities. This ensures that golfers can select the tees that best suit their skill level, improving the overall playing experience on the course.
Chart Hills Golf Club has announced further investments, including the addition of on-site accommodation for stay-and-play packages and wedding parties. The premium suites at The Barn at Chart Hills will offer luxury accommodation for up to 10 guests and are set to open later this year.
General Manager Anthony Tarchetti expressed pride in the new amenities, emphasizing the intense work that the team has put into the project. He also highlighted the club’s commitment to ongoing development, striving to provide the best facilities for members, guests, and visitors.
The club’s transformation since 2019 has been significant, and with continued ownership, Chart Hills aims to further enhance the course and facilities. Tarchetti noted that the project focuses on enhancing details that golfers appreciate and encourages players to choose tees that best fit their ability, ultimately improving the overall playing experience for everyone.
