The PGA TOUR has recently announced its full lineup of tournaments for the 2025 season, which includes a total of 36 events. The schedule features The Players Championship in March, the four major championships, eight Signature Events, 18 Full-Field Events, and five Additional Events. The regular season kicks off with The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii on December 30 and concludes with the Wyndham Championship on August 3. The three-event FedExCup Playoffs will take place in August, with the FedExCup champion being crowned at the TOUR Championship on August 24.
Throughout the season, events will be held in 18 US states, as well as in Mexico, Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. The dates for the 2025 FedExCup Fall Series, which will determine eligibility for the 2026 season, will be announced at a later date. PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan has expressed that the changes introduced in 2024 were aimed at creating the best version of the PGA TOUR for fans and players. The fields were stronger overall, and the Signature Events provided fans with more opportunities to see the best players competing head-to-head.
In addition to The Players Championship, the major calendar for 2025 includes the Masters at Augusta from April 10-13, the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina from May 15-18, the US Open at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania from June 12-15, and the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland from July 17-20. Royal Portrush was the site of Shane Lowry’s emotional victory in 2019.
Overall, the 2025 PGA TOUR schedule promises to be an exciting and competitive season for both fans and players. With a diverse range of events taking place across multiple countries, golf enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing top-tier talent in action. The FedExCup Playoffs in August will add an extra level of excitement as the season culminates with the crowning of the FedExCup champion at the TOUR Championship. The PGA TOUR continues to evolve and adapt to provide an engaging and thrilling experience for all involved.
