Stoke Park, a luxury hotel, golf, and country club in Buckinghamshire, has recently reopened its historic Harry Colt course after a three-year closure. The venue, which was purchased by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani in 2021, has undergone significant investments and is now open for golfers to book rounds on a pay-and-play basis at a rate of £125 per person.
The club will not be returning to a membership structure, but golfers and companies can enjoy playing on the Colt/Alison 18-hole course from Wednesday to Sunday. The course will accommodate around 30-40 golfers per day, with 15-minute intervals between tee times to ensure a peaceful and relaxing experience for visitors. In addition to general play, the course is also available for golf coaching and special events.
Stuart Collier, Director of Golf, emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards at Stoke Park while working on a masterplan for the future of the estate. In addition to the points-based package for regular players, the course can also be booked for exclusive use for corporate golf days or charity events. Future plans for Stoke Park include the restoration of the Grade I listed mansion, the construction of ‘seven-star’ hotel villas, and a new clubhouse.
The venue’s Pavilion, home to the spa and 28 guest bedrooms, has been completely renovated, offering a luxurious experience for guests. With the addition of a new swing studio, golfers can enhance their skills and improve their game while enjoying the picturesque surroundings of Stoke Park. The historic estate has also been featured in the iconic James Bond film, Goldfinger, adding to its charm and allure.
