The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club saw Charley Hull leading the field at 12 under while Nelly Korda sat one back alongside China’s Weiwei Zhang. Hull struggled with her approach on the 18th hole, eventually rinsing her shot in the water. Despite the challenging conditions, both players finished strong in the third round, setting up an exciting final day of competition at Pelican Golf Club.

Korda expressed frustration with the poor planning of starting the third round so late, leading to a rush to finish before daylight faded. The final threesome didn’t finish until 5:50 p.m., well after the scheduled TV window. Despite the delays, Hull and Korda remained focused and determined to perform at their best as they head into the final round on Sunday.

Weiwei Zhang, who is fighting for full status for the 2025 season, had a standout performance in the third round, carding a career-low 8-under 62. Zhang expressed excitement and disbelief at her exceptional play, positioning herself well for the final day of competition. With so much on the line, the players are eager to showcase their skills and secure their spots in the upcoming CME Group Tour Championship.

The stakes are high as the players battle for a spot in the 60-player CME Group Tour Championship and their status for the next season. Additionally, South Korea’s Jin Hee Im, who trails by three strokes, is aiming to make a significant move in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race. The competition at Pelican Golf Club promises an intense and thrilling finale as the players vie for victory.

Two-time major winner Brittany Lincicome, who resides nearby in St. Petersburg, will be playing in her final round as a full-time player on Sunday. Lincicome, who holds a share of 36th after carding consecutive 69s, will have her husband on the bag for the tournament but plans to have her father carry her home on the 18th hole on Sunday. The emotional finish for Lincicome adds an extra layer of anticipation and nostalgia to the event.

Pelican Golf Club has a reputation for delivering first-class finishes year after year, making it a highly anticipated event on the LPGA Tour schedule. The players are eager to showcase their skills on the challenging course and compete for the prestigious title. With the leaderboard tightly packed heading into the final round, fans can expect an exciting and dramatic conclusion to The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club.

Charley Hull and Nelly Korda, two of the fastest players on tour, displayed their skill and determination in the third round, setting the stage for a thrilling final day of competition. Despite the challenges of fading daylight and poor planning, the players remained focused and committed to delivering their best performances. The battle for the title at Pelican Golf Club promises an intense and exciting conclusion as the players vie for victory and valuable points in the race for various season-ending accolades.
