3’s, a unique combination of fun-for-all ages short course, great food, good vibes, and engaging par-3 golf, has been a huge success since its 2020 opening in Greenville, South Carolina. The partnership between 3’s, 8AM Golf, and Justin Timberlake has now set its sights on expanding to Charlotte, North Carolina, after the immense popularity of the Greenville location. The plan is to acquire an existing par-3 course in Charlotte, Pebble Creek Golf Course, and transform it into a second 3’s location, set to open in late 2025. The expansion comes as North Carolina’s fastest-growing metropolitan area is in need of such a unique golf and hospitality concept.

With the upcoming Charlotte location, 3’s aims to replicate the success of the original site with 12 par-3 holes under the lights, a clubhouse restaurant called the Grubhouse serving regionally inspired comfort food and drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere with music, fire pits, and Adirondack chairs overlooking a Himalayas-style putting green. The Charlotte site will feature an augmented Grubhouse with a larger and more varied menu and a putting green roughly twice the size of the one in Greenville. Pebble Creek will be renovated into a Goldilocks layout, offering challenges for skilled players while remaining enjoyable for golfers of all ages and abilities, further enhancing the warm hospitality that 3’s is known for.

Trey Marucci, 8AM’s chief strategy officer, recognizes the potential for growth in non-traditional golf experiences and was impressed by what Davis Sezna, the founder of 3’s, had achieved in Greenville. Plans are already in motion to expand the 3’s concept to additional locations beyond Charlotte, with several sites already identified for future development. While the specific locations and opening dates remain confidential, Marucci expressed excitement about the expansion of 3’s to other regions in the United States and potentially globally.

The success of 3’s in Greenville and the upcoming expansion to Charlotte highlight the growing trend of unique golf and hospitality concepts that cater to a wider audience than traditional golf courses. By offering a blend of fun, food, and golf in a welcoming environment, 3’s has created a winning formula that appeals to golfers of all skill levels and ages. As the 3’s brand continues to grow and develop, it is poised to become a leader in the non-traditional golf market, providing memorable experiences for golfers and food enthusiasts alike. With plans for further expansion in the works, the future looks bright for 3’s and its innovative approach to the game of golf.
