In a thrilling playoff at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge, Daniel Berger emerged victorious over Collin Morikawa at Colonial Country Club. The tournament marked the return of the PGA Tour after a three-month hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Berger’s par-saving putt on the first playoff hole secured his third tour triumph, as Morikawa missed a critical three-footer for par.

Looking back four years ago, let’s analyze the equipment that Berger used during the tournament. His driver was a Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero Triple Diamond with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6 X shaft. For his 3-wood, Berger opted for a Callaway Epic Flash with a Fujikura Speeder 857 TR 85 X shaft. His irons included a Callaway Apex Forged ’16 (3) and TaylorMade TP MC ’11 (4-PW) with Project X 6.5 shafts. Berger also used Callaway Mack Daddy wedges, a TaylorMade Spider Tour putter, and Titleist Pro V1 balls, all with Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips.

The victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge solidified Berger’s status as a competitive force on the PGA Tour. His precise shot-making and clutch putting were evident throughout the tournament, especially during the playoff against Morikawa. Berger’s ability to perform under pressure and make crucial shots when needed set him apart from the field.

Berger’s equipment choices, such as the Callaway driver and irons, reflect his preference for consistency and control on the course. The combination of high-quality clubs and shafts allows him to maximize his performance and accuracy from tee to green. Additionally, using top-of-the-line wedges and putter demonstrates Berger’s commitment to precision and touch around the greens.

As Berger continues to compete on the PGA Tour, his win at the Charles Schwab Challenge serves as a testament to his skill and determination as a professional golfer. The victory not only adds another title to his resume but also boosts his confidence and credibility among his peers. Moving forward, Berger will look to build on this success and maintain his position as a top contender in future tournaments.
