PGA Tour star Michael Kim has revealed a pair of abandoned poop-stained boxer briefs were found in a private bathroom at last month’s RBC Heritage tournament.
The South Korea-born American, who is currently ranked No. 54 in the world, claims a caddie taking part in the event at Harbour Town Golf links on Hilton Head Island suffered the disgusting ordeal after going to use a bathroom reserved solely for players and caddies.
Yet after an investigation was launched, Kim says the phantom pooper remains unknown despite PGA officials picking up on one potential clue.
He posted on X last week: ‘Story from Hilton head: There are player/caddie only porta potties near tee boxes. One caddie went to use one on Thursday morning and in the corner of the porta potty, sees a pair of boxer briefs with some [poo emoji].
‘They tried to find out who it was but couldn’t figure it out’.
He then added: ‘The briefs were a brand that had a brand ambassador but it was proven that it wasn’t him lol’.

Fans couldn’t resist poking fun at the anonymous golfer or caddie responsible for the grim incident, with one joking: ‘S*** happens…’
‘Been there!’ said another.
A third put: ‘Sounds like a dedicated caddy’.
While one simply commented: ‘Truly a s***ty situation.’
Kim, who finished in 54th place at the tournament, has not provided any further information on whether the phantom pooper was identified or not.
The 31-year-old is currently competing in the PGA Championship over in North Carolina, sitting 31st in the leaderboard at the time of writing on +1 through 16 holes.
His best ever finish at a major tournament was 17th in the 2013 US Open.
