Orlando, Florida offers a variety of public-access golf courses for those looking to tee it up outside of the professional tournament scene. Winter Park Golf Course is a historic 9-hole course located in Winter Park, just north of Orlando. Renovated in 2016, this charming par-35 layout features several sweet par-3s and drivable par-4s, making it an ideal match-play venue. Tucked into a neighborhood and framed by local landmarks, Winter Park Golf Course is a must-play for golfers looking for a unique experience.

For those seeking a more expansive golf experience, Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge offers a 45-hole facility with a variety of courses to choose from. Known as the Bandon Dunes of the Sunshine State, this golf-focused atmosphere features a circular driving range, a 36-hole putting course, and two 18-hole layouts, Panther Lake and Crooked Cat. Set on rolling terrain with elevation changes, both courses provide a challenging yet scenic golf experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Walt Disney World Resort boasts four courses, three of which have hosted the PGA Tour. The Palms, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista courses offer a variety of challenges for golfers of all skill levels. The Palms and Magnolia courses, in particular, feature palm trees and magnolias lining the fairways, along with white-sand bunkers and water hazards. While the Magnolia course is currently undergoing some renovations, golfers can still enjoy a discounted rate on tee times until the work is complete.

At Omni Orlando ChampionsGate, golfers can enjoy two Greg Norman-designed courses, the National and the International. The National course offers a links-style layout with sandy features, while the International course winds through trees and wetlands. Additionally, the property features a training-and-entertainment center with Toptracer Range technology, perfect for golfers looking to fine-tune their game before hitting the course.

In conclusion, Orlando offers a diverse selection of public-access golf courses for golfers looking to experience the game in a unique and scenic setting. From historic 9-hole layouts like Winter Park Golf Course to expansive facilities like Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge, there is something for every golfer to enjoy in this popular golf destination. Whether you’re looking to play a quick round or spend a day on the links, Orlando has the perfect course for you.
