Xander Schauffele is facing an uphill battle at the 2025 Valspar Championship after returning from a rib injury that forced him to miss two months of competition. His results since returning have been disappointing, with finishes of T40 at Bay Hill and 72nd at the Players Championship. Despite his struggles, Schauffele remains focused on improving his game and returning to his world-beating form. He is determined to play better golf and is looking to get more tournament reps to help turn his game around.

Returning from such a significant injury has been more challenging than Schauffele expected, especially given his high expectations for himself. He acknowledges that his harsh self-assessment is necessary for elevating his game and reaching his goals. Schauffele’s goal is to play better golf leading up to the Masters, which begins April 10 at Augusta National. He understands the demands of the Masters and knows that strong tournament performances are essential for success at major championships.

Despite his recent struggles, Schauffele has maintained his active record for most consecutive made cuts, a testament to his consistency on the PGA Tour. Making the cut allows him to have two additional rounds to work through any issues and improve his game. Schauffele is determined to make the most of every opportunity at the Valspar Championship to prepare for the Masters. While he has not decided whether to make another start before the Masters, Schauffele is focused on playing his best golf and regaining the form that saw him win two majors in 2024.

As a major champion, Schauffele understands the importance of performing well at prestigious events like the Masters. He knows that strong tournament performances leading up to the Masters will be crucial for his success at Augusta National. Despite his recent struggles, Schauffele remains determined and focused on improving his game. He is willing to put in the work and make the necessary adjustments to return to form and compete at the highest level.

Schauffele’s dedication to excellence and his relentless pursuit of improvement make him a formidable competitor on the PGA Tour. Despite facing setbacks and challenges, he remains focused on his goals and is determined to overcome any obstacles in his path to success. With his sights set on the Masters and other major championships, Schauffele is committed to playing his best golf and reaching new heights in his career. As he continues to work towards achieving his goals, Schauffele’s resilience and determination will undoubtedly set him apart as one of the top players in the game.
