The PGA Merchandise Show is a golfer’s paradise, filled with the latest advancements in golf club design, launch monitors, simulators, bags, and more. However, for Wadeh Maroun, co-host of GOLF’s Fully Equipped, the standout category at this year’s show was recovery products. Maroun emphasized the importance of recovery for golfers and was particularly impressed by Hyperice’s new recovery shoes made in collaboration with Nike. These shoes offer compression, heat, and vibration functions, allowing users to move around while receiving treatment, unlike other recovery devices that require them to stay stationary.
Hyperice, known for its recovery devices like leg sleeves and boots, showcased a variety of products at the PGA Show. Maroun noted the prominent display of recovery products at the event, highlighting the growing emphasis on recovery in the golf community. As someone who regularly visits a stretch doctor for recovery, Maroun emphasized the importance of incorporating recovery into one’s golf routine. The prevalence of recovery products at the show underscored the significance of this aspect of the game. Maroun and his co-host, Kris McCormack, shared their insights from the PGA Show on GOLF’s Fully Equipped podcast and video series.
As an Associate Equipment Editor at GOLF, Jack Hirsh is a Pennsylvania native with a background in broadcast journalism and political science from Penn State University. Hirsh is also a former high school golf team captain and currently serves as the head coach of the program. Hirsh remains active in local amateur competitions and brings a wealth of golf knowledge to his role at GOLF. Prior to joining GOLF, Hirsh gained experience as a Multimedia Journalist/reporter at a TV station in Bend, Oregon.
The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro is a powerful percussion massage device designed to provide deep-penetrating relief to stiff muscles, enabling users to train harder and recover faster. With five speed settings, the Hypervolt 2 Pro allows individuals to customize their massage experience. The device is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery offering three hours of battery life, making it ideal for travel. The lightweight design and TSA-approved carry-on feature make it convenient for golfers on the go. The Hyperice App provides guided routines from top athletes and automatic speed adjustment using HyperSmart technology.
The benefits of using the Hypervolt 2 Pro include stress and tension relief, muscle knot loosening, fatigue and stiffness targeting, flexibility and range of motion maintenance, warm-up acceleration, and quick recovery post-activity. The device’s combination of compression, heat, and vibration functions sets it apart from traditional recovery devices, allowing users to receive treatment while remaining active. The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro offers golfers a convenient and effective way to incorporate recovery into their daily routines, helping them perform at their best on the course.
