If you’re looking to play some of the best golf courses in Utah, you’ve come to the right place. Golfweek has released their annual ranking of both public-access and private courses in the state, as judged by a nationwide network of raters. These raters evaluate courses based on 10 criteria and provide an overall rating, which is then averaged to produce the rankings.

On the list of best public-access courses in Utah, you’ll find a variety of options that allow for public access in some form, whether it’s through standard daily green fees, at a resort, or by staying at an affiliated hotel. No membership is required to play at these courses. Some of the top public-access courses in Utah include Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Sand Hollow in Hurricane, and Hideout in Monticello.

For those looking to play at private courses, Golfweek’s rankings also include a list of the best private courses in Utah. These courses are typically more exclusive and require membership or an invitation to play. Some of the top private courses in Utah include Victory Ranch in Kamas, Glenwild in Park City, and Promontory in Park City.

Each course on the list is categorized as either modern (built in 1960 or after) or classic (built before 1960), with a number indicating its ranking on Golfweek’s Best lists for top 200 modern and classic courses in the U.S. In addition, any courses that are new or returning to the rankings are indicated with an asterisk.

Some of the top public-access courses in Utah include Sand Hollow’s Championship Course in Hurricane, Soldier Hollow’s Gold and Silver courses in Midway, and Copper Rock in Hurricane. These courses offer a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

On the private side, courses like The Country Club in Salt Lake City, Entrada at Snow Canyon in St. George, and Victory Ranch in Kamas offer a more exclusive and luxurious experience for members. These courses are known for their impeccable course conditions, stunning views, and challenging layouts.

Whether you’re looking to play at a public-access course or a private club, Utah offers a variety of options for golfers. From the red rocks of St. George to the mountains of Park City, there’s a course for every preference and skill level. So grab your clubs and hit the links at one of Utah’s top-rated golf courses for an unforgettable golfing experience.
