McLemore, located in northwest Georgia near Rising Fawn, is set to offer limited public-access preview play for its new course, The Keep, starting this fall. Situated atop a stunning cliff 1,200 feet above McLemore Cove, the club’s original Highlands Course is already highly ranked and offers breathtaking views. The Keep, designed by Bill Bergin and Rees Jones, will feature five holes along the cliff, providing golfers with an unforgettable experience. Tee times for walking-only preview play can be reserved by calling 800-329-8154 or emailing stayandplay@mclemoreclub.com.

Duane Horton, president of developer Scenic Land Company, expressed excitement about opening The Keep to initial guests for the first time. While the full opening is scheduled for 2025, this preview opportunity allows golf enthusiasts to get a sneak peek at what is sure to be one of the best golf courses in the country. The club also offers a Friends of McLemore program, giving enrolled golfers access to both the Highlands Course and The Keep, along with various membership options.

McLemore is also home to Cloudland, a Curio Collection by Hilton Resort that opened in 2024. Perched along the cliff, the resort offers guests access to both golf courses, creating a luxurious and unforgettable stay. As The Keep nears completion, select photos showcase the beauty and design of this new course. The club is dedicated to providing a world-class golfing experience for its guests and members, with the official opening of The Keep set to be a landmark occasion.

With its proximity to Chattanooga and the Tennessee state line, McLemore offers a convenient location for golfers looking for a challenging and scenic course to play. The par-4 18th hole of the Highlands Course is a standout feature, playing along the cliff with stunning mountain views and a dramatic drop. The Keep promises to offer a similar experience, with five holes situated along the cliff to provide golfers with an exhilarating round.

For those interested in experiencing The Keep before its official opening in 2025, the preview play opportunity is a unique chance to be among the first to play on this incredible golf course. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor to the area, McLemore offers a one-of-a-kind golfing experience that combines breathtaking views with challenging gameplay. With limited access available for preview play, be sure to reserve your tee time soon to be a part of this historic occasion at McLemore.
