TPC Scottsdale, home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, has been recognized as one of the “most picturesque” golf courses in the United States. According to research conducted by golf apparel company Galvin Green, the Scottsdale course ranked No. 10 among the most picturesque golf courses in the country. This ranking was based on the number of Instagram-tagged posts that mention the course, with TPC Scottsdale having 24,512 tagged Instagram posts through July 24, 2024. The course is described as having a blend of desert landscape, strategic bunkering, and challenging water hazards that create a visually stunning and demanding test of golfing skill.

When looking for the Golfweek’s Best course lists, TPC Scottsdale does not appear in the top 10. Instead, courses like Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Illinois, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Chicago Golf Club, Bandon Dunes in Oregon, Riviera Country Club in California, Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon, TPC Sawgrass in Florida, and Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia make the cut. These courses are renowned for their challenging layouts, beautiful surroundings, and rich golfing history.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open, held at TPC Scottsdale, is known for being the “greatest show on grass” due to its vibrant atmosphere and record-breaking crowds. The 16th hole, known as the “Coliseum,” is one of the most iconic holes on the PGA Tour, with fans creating a stadium-like setting around the green. It is a unique experience for both players and spectators, making it a must-see event on the golfing calendar.

The Scottsdale area is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts, with a variety of courses to choose from. In addition to TPC Scottsdale, other notable courses in the area include Troon North Golf Club, Grayhawk Golf Club, and The Boulders Resort & Spa. These courses offer a range of challenges and scenic views, making them ideal for golfers of all skill levels.

In recent years, Scottsdale has become a hub for golf tourism, attracting visitors from around the world. The city’s warm climate, world-class resorts, and championship golf courses make it a popular destination for golf vacations. Whether you’re looking to tee off at a top-rated course or simply enjoy the stunning desert landscapes, Scottsdale offers a golfing experience like no other.

Overall, TPC Scottsdale’s recognition as one of the most picturesque golf courses in the United States solidifies its reputation as a top destination for golfers. With its combination of challenging layout and stunning desert scenery, it is sure to continue attracting players and fans alike for years to come.
