Sea Island’s Seaside Course in St. Simons Island, Georgia, is one of the main layouts for the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic, which originally opened in 1929 and underwent extensive renovations in 1999. The original design was by Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, and it was most recently redone by Tom Fazio. The Seaside Course will play to 7,005 yards with a par of 70 for the event, while the Plantation Course will play to 7,060 yards with a par of 72.

The Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club ranks as the No. 1 public-access course in Georgia and ties for No. 71 on Golfweek’s list of the best modern courses in the U.S. The Plantation Course, which was renovated by Davis Love III and his brother, Mark, in 2019, also ranks high at No. 6 on the list of top public-access courses in the state. The renovations by Fazio on the Seaside Course were extensive and qualified it as a modern course.

Thanks to yardage books provided by Puttview, detailed maps of each hole on the Seaside Course are available, showcasing the challenges that the players will face during the RSM Classic. These resources provide valuable insights for the players as they navigate the course and strategize their gameplay. The Seaside Course promises a challenging and exciting test for the competitors as they vie for victory in this prestigious event.

As one of the main layouts for the RSM Classic, the Seaside Course offers a unique and scenic setting for professional golfers to showcase their skills. With a rich history and a reputation for excellence, Sea Island Golf Club provides a world-class experience for players and fans alike. The combination of classic design elements and modern enhancements creates a compelling and dynamic playing environment that will test the abilities of even the most seasoned golfers.

The RSM Classic at Sea Island’s Seaside Course represents a significant opportunity for competitors to earn recognition and build their professional careers. With a field of talented players competing on two outstanding courses, the tournament promises an exciting and competitive showcase of world-class golf. The event’s format, which includes rounds on both the Seaside and Plantation courses, adds an extra layer of challenge and strategy for the participants as they navigate the differing layouts and course conditions.

In conclusion, the Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course is a premier destination for golf enthusiasts and a prestigious venue for professional tournaments like the RSM Classic. With a rich history, top-tier facilities, and a challenging layout, the course provides an exceptional experience for players and spectators alike.
