The American Society of Golf Course Architects Foundation is offering a unique opportunity for 16 students to participate in a Design Boot Camp at Erin Hills in Wisconsin this September. The camp will be led by experienced course designers such as Mike Hurdzan, Dana Fry, and Ron Whitten, the trio behind the design of Erin Hills. In addition to the main instructors, past presidents of the ASGCA will also be on hand to share their expertise with students. Each foursome of students will work closely with a pair of architects to create a fantasy second 18 at Erin Hills.
While the cost of the Design Boot Camp is $20,000 per person, $15,000 of that amount will qualify as a charitable tax deduction to the ASGCA Foundation. This will support various non-profit organizations including the Clearview Legacy Foundation, the Golf Heritage Society, The British Columbia Golf House, and the Wee One Foundation. The fee includes lodging, a round of golf at Erin Hills, food, beverages, caddies, a special gift, and more.
