The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, Florida, designed by Ron Garl and opened in 1996, is set to close for a six-month renovation in 2025. This renovation will focus on rebuilding all 18 greens at the semi-private facility, which has never undergone a large-scale renovation before. Mondragon Golf, a Florida-based course construction company, has been assigned the task of renovating the course, with work expected to start in April and finish by October.

The main aspect of the renovation will be resurfacing the greens with Tifeagle Bermuda grass. Additionally, other improvements will include rebuilding bridges and a large bulkhead, as well as addressing drainage, irrigation, tee boxes, and bunker enhancements. The agronomy team at Eaglebrooke is dedicated to creating a top-notch golfing experience for its members and guests.

Ryan Roberts, the general manager of Eaglebrooke, emphasized the goal of becoming the best semi-private facility in the Lakeland area with the upcoming renovation. It is expected that when the course reopens next fall, non-member/public play will be more restricted, making it an ideal time for individuals interested in joining the Club at Eaglebrooke to take advantage of current membership opportunities before initiation fees potentially increase.

Indigo Sports, a Troon Company, manages Eaglebrooke. Troon, based in Arizona, is the largest golf and golf-related hospitality management company globally, overseeing more than 900 locations, including over 575 18-hole equivalent courses. The association with Troon showcases the commitment of Eaglebrooke to providing a premier golfing experience to its members and patrons.

With the renovation scheduled to enhance the overall quality of the course, Eaglebrooke aims to elevate its status as a leading golf destination in the Lakeland area. By incorporating cutting-edge technology and superior craftsmanship into the renovation process, the Club at Eaglebrooke is poised to set new standards for excellence in golf course management and design in Florida.

Members of Eaglebrooke can look forward to enjoying a refreshed and rejuvenated golf course upon its reopening in the fall of 2025. The renovations not only signify a significant investment in enhancing the golfing experience for current members but also herald the club’s commitment to attracting new members who seek a high-quality and exclusive golfing environment. The pride and dedication of the staff and management at Eaglebrooke are reflected in the meticulous planning and execution of the upcoming renovations.
