Early Preview Play Offered at The Keep, a New Cliffside Course at McLemore in Georgia

McLemore, located in northwest Georgia near Rising Fawn, is set to offer limited public-access preview play for its new course, The Keep, starting this fall. Situated atop a stunning cliff 1,200 feet above McLemore Cove, the club’s original Highlands Course is already highly ranked and offers breathtaking views. The Keep, designed by Bill Bergin and Rees Jones, will feature five holes along the cliff, providing golfers with an unforgettable experience. Tee times for walking-only preview play can be reserved by calling 800-329-8154 or emailing stayandplay@mclemoreclub.com.

Duane Horton, president of developer Scenic Land Company, expressed excitement about opening The Keep to initial guests for the first time. While the full opening is scheduled for 2025, this preview opportunity allows golf enthusiasts to get a sneak peek at what is sure to be one of the best golf courses in the country. The club also offers a Friends of McLemore program, giving enrolled golfers access to both the Highlands Course and The Keep, along with various membership options.

McLemore is also home to Cloudland, a Curio Collection by Hilton Resort that opened in 2024. Perched along the cliff, the resort offers guests access to both golf courses, creating a luxurious and unforgettable stay.
