Fall 2024 Season’s Last Release

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association recently released its final coaches polls for the Fall 2024 season. The Div. I rankings saw Stanford once again sitting atop the rankings as a unanimous No. 1. Following Stanford in the top five were Arkansas, USC, South Carolina, and Texas. Stanford has maintained an undefeated season so far, winning key tournaments such as The Big Match, the Molly Intercollegiate Invitational, the NB3 Matchplay, and tying for first in the Stanford Intercollegiate. Other notable teams in the rankings include Northwestern, Mississippi State, and Florida State.

In the Div. II rankings, Anderson claimed the unanimous No. 1 spot, with Findlay and Wingate tied for second place. Flagler College, Dallas Baptist, and California State San Marcos round out the top five. Other schools receiving votes include Lynn, St. Mary’s (Texas), and Texas at Tyler. In the Div. III rankings, Emory retained its top position with 14 first-place votes, followed by Carnegie Mellon and Washington University in St. Louis. Notable risers in the rankings include Wellesley College and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

The NAIA rankings saw Keiser as the unanimous No. 1, with SCAD Savannah and Lindsey Wilson College rounding out the top three. Other schools receiving votes included Marian (IN), Texas Wesleyan, and Dalton State College. The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. With over 750 coaches throughout the U.S., the WGCA aims to promote, educate, and recognize both its members and the student-athletes they represent.

As the season progresses, fans can expect to see continued strong performances from top-ranked teams such as Stanford in Div. I, Anderson in Div. II, Emory in Div. III, and Keiser in the NAIA.
