World No. 12 golfer Shane Lowry revealed to Jason Kelce that his daughter’s love for Taylor Swift inspired him to dress up as his brother Travis for Halloween last year.
Kelce is putting his golf skills to the test at a PGA Tour event in Pennsylvania just days after he was seen begging for advice on unlikely social-media platform Reddit.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center is competing in a pro-am tournament before the Truist Championship on Wednesday in Flourtown, where he has been partnered with Irish golf star Lowry.
During their round together, Jason was asked by a woman filming for the PGA Tour if he knew that Shane had dressed up as Travis for Halloween last year.
‘That’s so good,’ he said after being shown a photo of Lowry wearing his brother’s No. 87 Kansas City Chiefs jersey, white shorts and red socks as a costume.
Kelce then walked over to him on the course and showed him the picture before joking: ‘Are you sure you’re not a Kelce?’

Lowry then explained how his daughter’s obsession with Swift – who has dated Travis for close to two years – led to him imitating the Chiefs tight end for Halloween.
‘My daughter is obsessed with Taylor and she was dressing up for Halloween,’ he said. ‘So I ordered the shirt online and then I went down to Dick’s Sporting Goods and bought all the pads and all that.’
Kelce replied: ‘The beard is pretty spot on.’
The PGA Tour shared a photo of Lowry’s fancy-dress outfit in October, with Travis even giving his seal of approval.
The three-time Super Bowl winner commented: ‘Nailed it!!!’
Lowry is playing in the pro-am tournament on Wednesday alongside Jason just days after Travis’ older brother was spotted pleading with users on Reddit to help him improve his golf swing.
Kelce, who has competed in several celebrity golf championships in recent years, asked for advice on the social-media forum before heading to Flourtown for the event.
