Tiger Woods made a triumphant return to the winner’s circle at the 2018 Tour Championship, ending a five-year victory drought and capturing his 80th PGA Tour win at East Lake with a final-round 71. This iconic win marked a significant milestone in Woods’ career and cemented his status as one of the greatest golfers of all time.

At the tournament, Woods showcased his skill and precision with a set of clubs that included a TaylorMade M3 460 driver with a Mitsubishi Diamana D+ White 70 TX shaft. He also used a TaylorMade M3 3-wood and 5-wood, both equipped with Mitsubishi Diamana D+ White 80 TX shafts. For his irons, Woods relied on the TaylorMade TW Phase1 Prototype 3-PW set with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.

In addition to his woods and irons, Woods trusted his short game to TaylorMade Milled Grind Raw wedges in 56 and 60 degrees, paired with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts. His putter of choice was the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS, a reliable club that helped him navigate East Lake’s tricky greens with ease. Woods also used Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grips and Bridgestone Tour B XS balls during the tournament.

It’s interesting to take a look back at the equipment Woods was using six years ago in Atlanta, as it provides insight into the evolution of his game and the advancements in golf technology over the years. The clubs Woods used in 2012 may have been different from those he used in 2018, but his skill and talent remained constant, allowing him to continue performing at the highest level and achieving remarkable success on the course.

For golf enthusiasts and fans of Tiger Woods, understanding the equipment he uses can offer valuable insights into his game and playing style. By examining the clubs in his bag, fans can gain a deeper appreciation for the skill and precision required to compete at the professional level and understand how even small adjustments to equipment can make a significant impact on performance.

2nd Swing Golf, a leading retailer of new and pre-owned golf clubs, offers a wide selection of equipment and accessories to help golfers improve their game and achieve their goals on the course. In conclusion, Tiger Woods’ victory at the 2018 Tour Championship was a historic moment in golf history, marking his return to the winner’s circle after a five-year drought and solidifying his place as a golf legend. With a set of high-quality clubs from top brands like TaylorMade and Scotty Cameron, Woods demonstrated his skill and precision on the course, showcasing the importance of having the right equipment to succeed in golf.
