Xander Schauffele, son of former Olympic athlete Stefan Schauffele, continued to impress with a solid round that put him in contention for a medal. Schauffele’s international background added an extra layer of significance to his Olympic journey. Tommy Fleetwood also made a strong push on day two, displaying consistent play despite some struggles with his swing. The presence of fan-favorite Hideki Matsuyama added to the excitement of the competition.
