Unpacking the Joy of Heathlander Golf Shoes: A Review You’ll Want to Read

Ah, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of seeing a package waiting for you at the door. Those long, skinny brown boxes? Classic. But let’s not overlook the small rectangular ones that can bring a smile to your face too. Recently, I received a package from a somewhat new golf shoe and lifestyle brand called Heathlander, and boy, was I in for a treat!

When I opened that box, I found myself face-to-face with what might just become my favorite shoes for hitting the links. Seriously, I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love these. They have quickly captured my attention and might become my go-to shoes for quite a while.

The "Walking" Philosophy of Heathlander

Right on their website, Heathlander sums up my life philosophy perfectly: “Any day you’re playing golf is a good day.” As soon as I read that, I knew we were going to get along just fine. But they took it a step further, which sealed the deal: “Proper golfers walk.” Yep, that’s my jam right there.

Now, I’ve never heard of Heathlander before this. However, after putting some miles on these shoes during my rounds, I can say they check off all the key boxes for a good golf shoe: comfy, colorful, and stable. It’s always a challenge to find that sweet spot between comfort and performance in golf shoes, but Heathlander manages to strike a balance that’s hard to ignore. I walked 18 holes last weekend at the gorgeous Biddeford-Saco Country Club in Maine, and let me tell you, it felt like a breeze.

Sweet Sole Music

The design of these shoes is where the fun really starts. Heathlander rocks a synthetic leather upper, which comes with a one-year waterproof guarantee—huge plus! The sole? Oh man, it’s a three-layer masterpiece: a foam sock liner insole for comfort, a soft EVA midsole for that cushiony feel, and a pink rubber outsole with a bold nine-millimeter-deep tread that’s ready to grip.

What I love most about the sole material is its softness. It’s built into the EVA midsole to give you that extra cushion without leaving any nasty marks on the greens or tee boxes. Talk about being courteous!

Simple Yet Stylish

One of the things I appreciate most about Heathlander is their straightforward naming convention for their shoes. They simply call their base model The Golf Shoe. It’s got a clean white upper complemented by Heathlander’s signature pink sole. And you have options when it comes to the trim color too—pink, yellow, light blue, dark blue, or green. Options galore!

If you want something a little different, there’s the Navy Golf Shoe with a navy upper and green trim, or the Red, White, and Blue Shoe, which comes with a white upper, red trim, blue midsole, and red outsole. Plus, they have sizes for both men and women, and if you’ve got wider feet, it’s recommended to go up a half-size.

The Price Point

Now, let’s chat about money. If you’re on a super tight budget, Heathlander may not be your best bet. The standard Golf Shoe is priced at $205, while both the Navy Golf Shoe and Red, White and Blue Golf Shoe go for $225. However, don’t sweat it—those prices come with a couple of bonus perks. You get a nylon zippered shoe bag, a second cloth bag, and two sets of shoelaces in different colors.

Beyond the Shoes: Heathlander Apparel

Heathlander isn’t just about shoes; they offer some high-quality apparel too. You can find their Long-Sleeve Merino Wool Jackets (they call them "wind sweaters," and I’m loving the look), quilted vests, and even some snazzy cashmere sweaters. Oh, and let’s not forget the hoodies and some branded hats.

Surprising Performance

Now, I’ve got to admit—these shoes impressed me more than I thought they would. Up until now, my go-to shoes were the adidas Tour 360 Spikeless, Asics Gel-Ace Pro M, and Sqairz ProS2 LT. But after just two rounds wearing these Heathlanders, they’ve snagged a spot in my rotation. Definitely a win.

Conclusion: Final Thoughts

In summary, Heathlander has made quite the impression on this golfer. Their how-to approach on style and functionality speaks volumes, and it’s evident they’ve put thought and effort into making shoes that cater to walkers like me. Whether you’re hitting long drives or taking a casual stroll on the course, these shoes have got your back.

For more information about these stylish kicks and other offerings, be sure to check out the Heathlander Golf website. They’ve got some incredible products that I think you’ll enjoy.

So, what are you waiting for? Get ready to step up your golf game while looking awesome doing it! Get yourself a pair of Heathlanders, and you might just be as happy as I am with my new shoes. Happy golfing!
