Kevin Kisner, along with Gary Koch and Roger Maltbie, will be returning to the NBC Sports booth for the upcoming Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Koch and Maltbie, seasoned veterans in the golf broadcasting world, were let go by the network in 2022 but are making a special appearance for the 50th anniversary of the Players Championship. Maltbie will be serving as an on-course reporter during the Thursday and Friday coverage, while Koch will join Mike Tirico in the broadcast booth. Their presence adds a touch of nostalgia to the event, as they have called some of the most iconic moments in Players Championship history over the past three decades.

Kevin Kisner, who made his broadcasting debut earlier this year, will be joining Dan Hicks in the booth for the Players Championship. He will also team up with Smylie Kaufman for a “Friday Happy Hour” segment at the 17th hole. Kisner, a 40-year-old golfer, has not had the best start to his season on the PGA Tour, missing the cut in all three of his starts. However, he has received rave reviews for his broadcasting skills and is considered a frontrunner for the full-time color analyst position that was vacated by Paul Azinger.

The 2024 Players Championship is set to begin on March 14, with Scottie Scheffler as the defending champion. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of some of the best golfers in the world competing at one of the most iconic courses in golf. The return of Koch and Maltbie to the NBC Sports booth adds a special touch to the broadcast, as they bring decades of experience and knowledge to the coverage of the tournament.

The Players Championship holds a special place in golf history as one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour. With a storied past and a lineup of top players, the tournament is always highly anticipated by fans and players alike. This year’s event marks the 50th anniversary of the Players Championship, adding an extra layer of significance to the proceedings. The return of familiar voices like Koch and Maltbie only adds to the excitement surrounding the tournament.

Kisner’s addition to the broadcasting team brings a fresh perspective and energy to the coverage of the Players Championship. His experience as a professional golfer gives him unique insights into the game that enhance the viewer’s understanding and enjoyment of the event. With his combination of skill on the course and talent in the broadcast booth, Kisner is poised to make a lasting impact on golf broadcasting for years to come.

As the defending champion, Scottie Scheffler will be looking to make his mark at this year’s Players Championship and defend his title against a field of tough competitors. The tournament always produces thrilling moments and memorable performances, and this year is sure to be no different. With a star-studded lineup and the return of veteran broadcasters like Koch and Maltbie, the 2024 Players Championship promises to be an event to remember for golf fans everywhere. Stay tuned for all the action starting on March 14.
