Kieran Vincent, a Zimbabwean golfer, is set to make his first DP World Tour start at the Mauritius Open after being relegated from the LIV Golf League in his debut season. He finished 54th in the LIV Golf standings for 2024, with his best result being a T18 in the Nashville event. Vincent was part of Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team, which finished 2nd in the standings and won four tournaments. Despite attempting to regain his spot in the league, Vincent finished 10 strokes back of Lee Chieh-po at the 2024 Promotions tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Upon confirming Vincent’s departure from the LIV Golf League, it is clear that Rahm’s team will have a fresh player for the upcoming season in 2025. However, no details have been announced yet regarding the new player. Vincent, who is in the Mauritius field via the National Spots category, is aiming to rebuild his career away from the LIV Golf League. It remains uncertain whether he will continue on the DP World Tour or opt to play on the Asian Tour or Sunshine Tour.

Vincent earned his spot in the LIV Golf League via the 2023 Promotions event after turning professional in 2022 following his college golf career at Liberty University in Virginia. He secured his first professional win at the 2023 International Series Vietnam on the Asian Tour and also claimed victory on the Sunshine Tour in 2024. His older brother Scott was also relegated from the LIV Golf League in 2024 after playing in all three of the 54-hole circuit’s first seasons. Scott played for Iron Heads GC and was replaced by Korean Tour no.1 Yubin Jang.

The golf community has expressed gratitude for Kieran Vincent’s contributions during his time in the LIV Golf League, with Legion XIII posting a thank you message on social media recognizing his hard work, talent, and unique personality. As Vincent embarks on a new chapter in his career, enthusiasts are eager to see how he will fare in the Mauritius Open and beyond. With his past successes on the Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour, Vincent’s talent and determination are sure to drive him towards new achievements and opportunities in professional golf.
