Miura, a well-respected name in the golf industry, has recently added a new finish to its Forged Wedge series – the black QPQ finish. This finish is a black top layer of steel that goes over the club head and wears into a patina over time, giving it a unique look and feel. The meticulous and labor-intensive process of applying this finish ensures that the club maintains the hallmark Miura feel, sound, and performance that golfers have come to expect from the brand.

Miura has a history of testing various black finishes, but the QPQ finish stands out due to its distinctiveness and ability to preserve the club’s performance characteristics. The process of applying this finish requires about three grams to be removed from a clubhead to ensure consistency in performance between a QPQ-finished head and a regular head. This attention to detail highlights Miura’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship in their clubs.

The new Forged Series QPQ wedges feature the “Kanji” symbol stamped on the back, representing the Japanese character for “striving” or “noble effort.” This symbol reflects Miura’s dedication to producing high-quality golf clubs that are designed to help golfers perform their best on the course. The original release of the Forged Series included two grinds, the Y and C grinds, which are now available in three finishes: raw, satin, and QPQ, giving golfers more options to choose from based on their preferences and playing style.

The C grind is ideal for players with a neutral to shallow angle of attack who like to manipulate the face around the green, while the Y grind is best suited for players who tend to have a steeper angle of attack or prefer using the club as a bunker club. The Forged Series Black QPQ wedges are available in lofts ranging from 46 to 60 degrees, with specific grinds assigned to each loft to cater to different playing preferences and conditions.

Miura’s Forged Series Custom Wedge QPQ is priced at $385, making it an investment in premium quality golf equipment that is designed to enhance your short game performance. These wedges combine the best of forged feel with unique sole grinds that can benefit golfers in various turf conditions, providing them with the tools they need to excel in their short game and enjoy the performance of well-designed clubs. With the introduction of the black QPQ finish, Miura continues to innovate and offer golfers a unique and stylish option for their wedges.

Overall, Miura’s Forged Series Black QPQ wedges represent the brand’s commitment to excellence, craftsmanship, and performance in the golf industry. The addition of this new finish expands the options available to golfers who are looking for high-quality wedges that deliver exceptional feel, sound, and playability on the course. Whether you prefer a raw, satin, or black QPQ finish, Miura has options to suit your preferences and help you elevate your game. Experience the difference of Miura’s Forged Series wedges and discover how they can help you improve your scoring and enjoyment on the golf course.
