In the recent Presidents Cup, the American team once again emerged victorious, defeating the International squad for the 10th consecutive time with a score of 18.5 to 11.5. The International squad, however, put up a spirited fight, rallying from a 5-0 deficit after the first session to tie the matches on Friday with a 5-0 sweep of their own. Despite their efforts, the U.S. team pulled away in the last three sessions, including a 7.5-4.5 mark in Sunday singles. Let’s take a closer look at how each player and captain performed in this event.

Team USA’s Xander Schauffele had an outstanding performance with a record of 4-1-0, earning him a grade of A+. His leadership both on and off the course was instrumental in the team’s success. Patrick Cantlay, with a record of 4-1-0, also performed exceptionally well, earning a grade of A. Collin Morikawa, with a record of 4-1-0, received a grade of A- for his strong showing throughout the event. Keegan Bradley, with a record of 2-1-0, received a grade of B+ for his contributions to the team.

Russell Henley, with a record of 3-1-0, quietly won three points for the U.S. team and was a key contributor to their success. Sam Burns, with a record of 3-0-1, also played a significant role in ensuring victory for the American team. Scottie Scheffler, with a record of 3-2-0, received a grade of B- for his performance, which fell slightly below expectations. Tony Finau, with a record of 2-2-0, earned a grade of C+ for his solid but not standout performance.

As for Team International, Si Woo Kim stood out as their best player with a record of 2-2-0, earning him a grade of A-. Tom Kim, with a record of 1-2-1, played a key role in the International team’s efforts and received a grade of B+. Hideki Matsuyama, the Internationals’ highest-ranked player, earned a grade of B+ despite struggling on the greens. Adam Scott, with a record of 2-3-0, showed his experience and leadership on the team.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout, with a record of 2-1-0, was the lone International player with a winning record. Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith, with records of 2-3-0 each, redeemed themselves from a previous lackluster performance. The International team’s captain, Mike Weir, received a grade of D for some questionable decisions during the event. Overall, the Presidents Cup showcased some exceptional performances, with both teams displaying skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
