PGA Tour and ESPN Launch Groundbreaking Betcast Experience: A New Age for Golf Fans
Golf is entering a new era, and the PGA Tour is at the forefront of this transformation. In collaboration with ESPN and DraftKings, the PGA Tour has introduced an innovative watch-and-bet experience known as Betcast, set to debut at 12 marquee events throughout the season. The WM Phoenix Open is the inaugural event to showcase this unique offering.
What is Betcast?
The PGA Tour Live Betcast, presented by DraftKings, takes the traditional viewing experience to the next level. Although Betcast made its first appearance last season, the partnership with DraftKings expands its scope and integration of the betting landscape within golf coverage.
The Betcast will provide over 400 hours of content throughout the PGA Tour season, airing for more than 8 hours on each tournament day. Golf fans can enjoy Betcast alongside the Main Feed, Featured Group, and Featured Hole streams, all accessible via the ESPN App.
Meet the Betcast Team
Hosting the Betcast will be Jonathan Coachman, accompanied by analysts Matt Every and Michael Collins. Other contributors will include Graham DeLaet, Jeff Eisenband, Steve Scott, and Kevin Sylvester, with insights from Rick Gehman.
Remarks from Leadership
Stephanie Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer of DraftKings, emphasizes the collaboration’s commitment to a modern fan engagement approach. "Integrating our industry-leading golf offerings into PGA TOUR LIVE Betcast creates a more immersive, real-time way to follow the action from the first tee shot to the final putt," she said, aiming to foster a sense of connection and community among golf enthusiasts.
John Suchenski, Senior Director of Programming & Acquisitions at ESPN, echoed these sentiments. "At ESPN, we want to provide fans with more access, insight, and ways to connect with sports. The Betcast gives fans another option to engage with PGA TOUR LIVE, catering to those seeking alternatives to traditional feeds."
