A fire broke out at the clubhouse of Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger, Indiana, just a few minutes away from Notre Dame. The fire was first reported by a passerby, and when firefighters arrived, the flames were already coming through the roof of the building. The Indiana State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire, which is still unknown.

A total of ten fire departments collaborated to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading further. Firefighters from Clay, Edwardsburg, Cleveland, Baugo, Mishawaka, and South Bend all worked together to contain the fire within the building. Despite their efforts, the recently renovated clubhouse was left in ruins after the fire was extinguished.

The Juday Creek Golf Course was established in 1989, and the clubhouse served as a central hub for golfers and visitors. General manager Michelle Wittig arrived at the scene early in the morning and witnessed the efforts of the firefighters to put out the flames. By mid-morning, the fire was under control, but the damage had already been done.

Fortunately, there were no reports of any other injuries aside from one firefighter who sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available. For inquiries or further information, readers can contact Tribune staff writer Camille Sarabia via email at csarabia@gannett.com.

In conclusion, the fire at Juday Creek Golf Course was a devastating incident that caused significant damage to the clubhouse. The collaborative effort of multiple fire departments ensured that the fire was contained and prevented from spreading further. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but investigations are ongoing to determine what led to this unfortunate event. Despite the loss, the community is grateful for the quick response and dedication of the firefighters who worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
