Located in the Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo is a premier Caribbean destination that offers golfing weather year-round. Designed by Pete Dye, the Dye Fore golf course features 27 holes with three distinct personalities, providing great replay value for golfers. The practice facilities at Dye Fore include a world-class driving range, putting green, and short game area, allowing players to warm up before their round or work on their swing.

The customer service at Casa de Campo is exceptional, with caddies required at Dye Fore to provide local knowledge and guidance on the course. The pro shop at Dye Fore offers essential items like sunscreen and golf balls, although at a premium price. The non-golf amenities at Casa de Campo provide endless entertainment options for visitors, ensuring a fun-filled stay.

Dye Fore boasts stunning views of the Dominican Republic mountains, the Chavon River, the Marina, and Altos de Chavon, creating a picturesque backdrop for golfers. Each of the three nines at Dye Fore offers a unique golfing experience, with the Marina nine showcasing elevated views of the Chavon River, the Lagos nine featuring a more links-style feel, and the Chavon nine offering wide open vistas.

Tee shots at Dye Fore present a variety of challenges, with ample distance for long hitters and interesting decisions to make off the tee. The fairways feature a mix of widths and fairway bunkers, requiring accurate drives to avoid trouble. Visual trickery off the tee adds to the course’s difficulty, with some holes appearing easy but playing tough, and vice versa.

Approach shots at Dye Fore are impacted by the shape of the land, with fairway swales and moderate rough creating challenges for players. Bunkers are strategically placed throughout the course, requiring skillful play to escape. The greens at Dye Fore are well defended, with bunkers, water, and elevation surrounding most putting surfaces.

The surrounds at Dye Fore are full of trouble, with sand traps and elevation changes adding to the difficulty. The speed of the greens can complicate putting, requiring players to control their ball carefully. Each green offers tilt and speed, making every putt a challenge.

Some favorite holes at Dye Fore include Marina #3, a stunning par 3 with views of the Marina, and Lagos #5, a challenging par 4 with a small, elevated green. The combination of beauty and challenge at Dye Fore makes it a must-play course for golf enthusiasts.

In conclusion, Pete Dye’s Dye Fore golf course at Casa de Campo offers a demanding yet rewarding golfing experience amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Dominican Republic. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer looking for a year-round course or a leisure traveler seeking adventure, Dye Fore delivers on both fronts. Plan your visit to Casa de Campo and experience the beauty and challenge of Dye Fore for yourself.
