The Mizuno JPX923 forged was a popular release from Mizuno, and the successor, the Mizuno JPX925 forged, has piqued the interest of many golfers. The main technology feature of the JPX925 forged is the ‘Contour Ellipse Face’ which is designed to optimize ball speed across the entire face for consistent performance, even on off-center strikes. The longer irons (4-7) are forged from Chromoly 4120 for speed and adjustability, while the shorter irons (8-GW) are forged from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel for precision and control.

Visually, the Mizuno JPX925 Forged is a standout with its sleek design and traditional Mizuno satin chrome finish. The head size and shaping give it a ‘players’ iron look, but it is not intimidating and has excellent proportions. The performance of the JPX925 forged lives up to its high standards with exceptional ball speed and distance output. The feel at impact is soft and delicate, similar to a pure forged blade, but with impressive distance performance.

The new triple-cut sole design of the Mizuno JPX925 Forged works well on a variety of ground conditions, providing versatility for different playing environments. Despite the discrepancy between feel and data, the performance of the JPX925 Forged irons is impressive and unique. These irons deliver speed and distance without compromising on feel, making them a standout option for golfers looking for a distance boost.

Mizuno has succeeded in following up on the success of the JPX923 forged with the JPX925 forged. The combination of speed, distance, and feel make it a top choice for golfers seeking performance and versatility. The Mizuno JPX925 Forged is priced at £200 per iron and comes with stock shaft options, with additional custom shaft and grip options available for customization. Overall, the Mizuno JPX925 Forged is a top-performing iron that delivers on both technology and aesthetics for golfers of all skill levels.
