New Level, a direct-to-consumer brand established almost six years ago, may not be as well-known as some of the larger manufacturers in the golf industry, but they are making waves with their beautifully crafted forged irons. With multiple tour pros playing their irons, New Level is gaining attention for their high-quality clubs that come at a fraction of the cost of other brands. The latest offering from New Level for 2024 includes the 480-TC irons, which boast a traditional clean look at address with a thin top line and a compact head that resembles a blade.

The New Level 480-TC irons stand out in the bag with a removable weight screw in the middle of the cavity, giving them a unique feature not seen on many other irons. The branding is minimal, with the “NL” logo and “480-TC” etched on the back of each iron, adding to their sleek and sophisticated appearance. These irons have minimal offset of less than 2mm, making them perfect for players who desire the look of a blade but need a little extra help. The design of the 480-TC irons strikes a balance between a blade and a more forgiving cavity back iron.

When it comes to sound and feel, the New Level 480-TC irons deliver a soft and responsive feel that matches their exquisite design. Each strike melts into the face with a low “snap” at impact near the sweet spot, providing feedback on mishits with an increase in vibration through the grip and hands. The 480-TC irons offer a blend of the sweet spot feel of a blade and the forgiveness of a cavity back iron, making them ideal for better players who want more feedback without sacrificing forgiveness.

In terms of performance, the New Level 480-TC irons are exceptionally well-rounded. With traditionally lofted irons starting at a 46-degree pitching wedge, these clubs offer the performance of a blade with added forgiveness and spin control for improved workability. The forging process used by New Level produces soft-feeling irons with consistent performance, resulting in a tight dispersion pattern and plenty of control. The weight port in the 480-TC irons allows for customization of swing weight and brings more mass behind the point of impact, enhancing overall performance.

The wider sole of the New Level 480-TC irons allows for easy turf interaction, ensuring solid contact even on less-than-perfect swings. The forgiveness of these clubs extends to the longer irons, providing distance with stopping power to hold greens when needed. Designed for mid to low handicap players, the New Level 480-TC irons offer value at $149 per club, significantly less than similar options in the market. Additionally, New Level offers a range of no up-charge shaft options, further enhancing the value proposition of these irons.

In conclusion, the New Level 480-TC irons combine the look and design of a blade with the soft feel and forgiveness that will appeal to a wide range of golfers in 2024. With impressive performance characteristics and a price point that offers excellent value, these irons are a standout option for players looking for a compact players iron that delivers consistent control and forgiveness on the course. New Level continues to make a mark in the golf industry with offerings like the 480-TC irons, showcasing their commitment to producing high-quality clubs at an affordable price point.
