Renowned YouTube golfer Rick Shiels has recently signed a deal to become an ambassador and content creator for the LIV Golf League, a Saudi-backed team golf tour. With 2.9 million followers on his YouTube channel, Shiels is one of the most popular personalities in the golfing world, known for his swing tips, equipment reviews, and collaborations with professional golfers. As an ambassador for LIV Golf, Shiels will be creating golf content in association with the league, providing fans with an inside look at the courses, players, and unique team golf format.

Shiels announced the partnership on his Instagram, expressing his excitement for the upcoming collaboration with LIV Golf. In a YouTube video, he revealed plans to create content at each of the 14 LIV Golf venues hosting events on the 2025 schedule. LIV Golf’s chief marketing officer, Adam Harter, stated that Shiels’ creativity and passion for the game align perfectly with the league’s mission to grow the sport and connect with a broader audience. Through this collaboration, fans can expect a unique perspective on team golf and access to behind-the-scenes content featuring top players.

Shiels will be producing his popular Break 75 and 10 Shot Challenge series at LIV venues, showcasing his skills alongside players like Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, and Sergio Garcia. Additionally, he will host weekly five-man scrambles and two-on-two matches between LIV Golf teams, providing tips and insights from the competitors. With a focus on engaging fans and bringing them closer to the action, Shiels and LIV Golf aim to open new doors for viewers and showcase a different side of the sport.

In addition to creating content for LIV Golf events, Shiels will launch TotShots in 2025, a recreational golf program designed for children aged 3 to 5. This initiative aims to introduce young players to the game while promoting coordination, teamwork, and confidence. LIV Golf will contribute $50,000 annually to TotShots, reinforcing their shared commitment to growing the sport and engaging new audiences. By partnering with influencers like Shiels and investing in youth development programs, LIV Golf and the PGA Tour are expanding their reach and attracting a diverse demographic of fans to the game.

As the golf industry continues to evolve, LIV Golf’s collaboration with Rick Shiels demonstrates a strategic approach to engaging fans through content creation and partnerships with influential figures. By showcasing the sport in a new light and emphasizing community engagement, LIV Golf aims to leave a lasting impact on the golfing world. With Shiels on board as an ambassador and content creator, fans can expect exciting and informative content that brings them closer to the action and highlights the unique aspects of team golf.
