TaylorMade has officially announced the acquisition of bespoke putter-maker Logan Olson to its portfolio of golf and experiential brands. This move comes after rumors had been circulating for nearly a year, with TaylorMade staffers such as Scottie Scheffler, Nelly Korda, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood all using or testing Olson’s custom-designed putters. Olson, known for his one-off custom designs and limited-release runs, has been praised for his ability to merge creativity with technical precision in creating finely crafted putters.

As part of the acquisition, Olson will continue as the principal designer of all Olson products but will now have the resources of TaylorMade’s operational and manufacturing capabilities at his disposal. He will also create a “Tour matrix” of blade and mid-mallet putter heads to provide new options for TaylorMade Tour staffers and to receive feedback for future releases. Despite joining forces with TaylorMade, Olson will still be creating custom designs for golfers looking for personalized putters.

Olson expressed his excitement about the collaboration with TaylorMade, highlighting the brand’s willingness to take risks and try new ideas. He believes that by utilizing the feedback of the best players in the world, they can push design criteria to new heights and create innovative products. The first Olson release under the TaylorMade umbrella, Craft Batch No. 3, is set to launch on December 5 and will be available exclusively on his website, LoganOlson.com.

TaylorMade Vice President of Product Creation, Brian Bazzel, praised Olson’s craftsmanship and creativity, emphasizing that his creations resonate with golfers of all abilities. The acquisition of Logan Olson further solidifies TaylorMade’s commitment to providing high-quality, innovative products to golfers around the world. Olson’s reputation as a rising star in the bespoke putter world aligns well with TaylorMade’s brand values and commitment to excellence.

With Olson now part of the TaylorMade team, golfers can expect a new range of putters designed with the input of top professional players and crafted with the latest manufacturing techniques.
