The Masters Tournament, held annually at Augusta National Golf Club, is one of the most prestigious events in the world of golf. With its rich history and iconic landmarks, Augusta National is a place that golf fans around the world recognize and admire. The tournament’s signature event, Amen Corner, featuring holes 11, 12 and 13, is a must-see for any golf enthusiast. The par-3 12th hole, with its signature green framed by blooming azaleas, is a highlight of the course.

Another famous landmark at Augusta National is Butler Cabin, where the winner’s interview takes place and the coveted green jacket is awarded to the champion. The tradition of the previous year’s winner helping the new champion into their green jacket adds an extra layer of prestige to the ceremony. Founders Circle, located in front of the clubhouse, is a popular spot for photos due to its picturesque setting and iconic Augusta National logo made of flowers.

Rae’s Creek, a body of water that winds behind the 11th green and in front of the 12th green, adds intrigue to some of Augusta National’s most famous and challenging holes. The Hogan Bridge, named after Ben Hogan, crosses Rae’s Creek to the 12th green, commemorating Hogan’s record-breaking score in 1953. The Nelson Bridge, named after Byron Nelson, connects the 13th tee to the fairway and honors Nelson’s historic performance in the 1937 Masters.

The Sarazen Bridge, dedicated to Gene Sarazen, commemorates his iconic shot on the 15th hole in the 1935 Masters that propelled him to victory. The Crow’s Nest, a cozy room on the third floor of the clubhouse, hosts amateur players during the tournament and provides a unique perspective of the course. The Big Oak Tree, located between the clubhouse and the first tee, serves as a gathering place for golf’s elite and is a symbol of the history and tradition of Augusta National.

With its storied past and iconic landmarks, Augusta National Golf Club remains a sacred place for golf fans and players alike. The Masters Tournament continues to captivate audiences with its rich history, challenging course, and prestigious traditions. From Amen Corner to the Butler Cabin, each landmark at Augusta National holds a special place in the hearts of golf enthusiasts around the world. As the Masters continues to evolve and grow, these iconic landmarks will continue to play a vital role in the tournament’s legacy.
