Top 100 public golf course exclusive road trips: 8 epic journeys

Prices range from affordable options like George Wright at $62 to lavish courses like Shadow Creek at $1,250. With such a diverse range, there is something for everyone on this list. Many of these courses are clustered together, making it easy to plan a buddies’ trip to hit multiple top public courses in just a few days.

To make planning even easier, GOLF.com has created eight different road trip itineraries exclusively featuring Top 100 Courses You Can Play. These trips offer a variety of experiences, from coastal courses to inland landscapes, and showcase the best public golf in the country. One of the most iconic and popular golf destinations on the list is Bandon Dunes, where you can play five Top 100 public courses without ever leaving the property. Located in Oregon, Bandon Dunes offers a range of courses ranked in the top 24, including Pacific Dunes. Other top destinations include the Florida Swing, where you can play six courses within a two-hour drive, and the Sandhills in North Carolina, where you can tee off at seven different top-ranked courses in the Pinehurst area.
