After 36 holes of the final official PGA Tour event of 2024, Patrick Fishburn holds a one-shot lead at 11 under at The RSM Classic. Heading to the weekend, Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course will host the final two rounds. Maverick McNealy and Lee Hodges are tied for second at 10 under. There’s a slew of golfers in contention who are seeking their first win, including an amateur who made yet another PGA Tour cut. The Seaside Course ranks No. 1 in Golfweek’s Best list of public-access courses in Georgia and also ties for No. 71 on Golfweek’s Best list of modern courses in the U.S. – the renovation by Fazio was extensive enough for the layout to qualify as a modern course. The purse at the RSM Classic is $7.6 million with $1.368 million going to the winner, who will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points.

The third round tee times for the RSM Classic have been set, with a range of players taking to the course at different times throughout the day. The tournament will be broadcast on Golf Channel from 1-4 p.m. ET, with Sirius XM providing radio coverage from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. ET on both Saturday and Sunday. Viewers can also watch the event for free on Fubo. With such an exciting leaderboard and the potential for first-time winners, the third round promises to be an exciting and competitive day of golf.

Patrick Fishburn, who currently leads the tournament, is aiming to secure his first PGA Tour victory. With only a one-shot lead over Maverick McNealy and Lee Hodges, Fishburn will need to maintain his composure and consistent play to hold onto the top spot. The Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club presents a challenging yet fair test for the players, with its rankings as a top course in both Georgia and the U.S. adding prestige to the event.

The purse at the RSM Classic is significant, with $7.6 million up for grabs and a first-place prize of $1.368 million. In addition to the monetary rewards, the winner will also earn 500 FedEx Cup points, which could significantly impact their standing in the season-long race. With so much at stake, the players will be feeling the pressure as they head into the crucial third round of the tournament, where every shot counts towards their ultimate goal of victory.

For fans looking to follow the action, there are multiple viewing options available, including watching on Golf Channel or listening on Sirius XM. The coverage starts at 1 p.m. ET on both Saturday and Sunday, providing ample opportunities to catch the exciting play and drama of the RSM Classic. With so many players in contention and the leaderboard tightly packed, the third round is sure to offer plenty of thrills and excitement for golf fans around the world.

As the tournament progresses, the drama is likely to intensify, with players jockeying for position on the leaderboard and making strategic decisions to navigate the challenging Seaside Course.
