The WM Phoenix Open is known for producing some surprising outcomes when it comes to picking the outright winner. In the past, members of a panel, including Brandon Gdula and yours truly, have correctly predicted winners such as Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka. This year, the panel is back with their expert predictions for the 2024 WM Phoenix Open.

Anonymous Caddie is picking Sahith Theegala as his top choice at 35-1 odds. The caddie notes that Theegala has been performing well and is one of the best players on the planet. Pat Mayo, on the other hand, is going with the chalk pick of Justin Thomas at 10-1 odds. Mayo points to Thomas’s recent form and strong history at TPC Scottsdale as reasons for his choice.

Brandon Gdula is putting his money on Byeong Hun An at 28-1 odds, citing An’s distance off the tee and improved putting as key factors. Keith Stewart also backs Justin Thomas as his top pick, mentioning Thomas’s strong tee-to-green game and consistency at TPC Scottsdale.

Stephen Hennessey and Christopher Powers are both looking at Hideki Matsuyama as their sleeper pick at 50-1 odds. Powers notes Matsuyama’s past successes at TPC Scottsdale and recent solid form. Andy Lack also chooses Justin Thomas as his top pick, highlighting Thomas’s impressive track record at the event.

The panel also includes predictions on sleepers and dark horses who could potentially win the tournament. Picks include Thomas Detry, Tom Hoge, and Adam Hadwin, among others. These players are all touted for their potential to surprise and outperform expectations during the tournament.

When it comes to matchups, the panel has differing opinions on who will come out on top. From Justin Thomas to Sahith Theegala, each panel member is carefully considering the matchups and weighing the odds to make their selections. The panel also looks at top 10 finish predictions, with picks such as Min Woo Lee, Sahith Theegala, and Harris English standing out as favorites.

Overall, the WM Phoenix Open promises to be an exciting event with plenty of opportunities for upsets and surprises. The panel’s expert predictions provide valuable insights for fans and bettors looking to get in on the action. As the tournament unfolds, it will be interesting to see which players rise to the occasion and secure victory at TPC Scottsdale.
