Al Zorah Golf Club has announced the launch of the first-ever ‘Al Zorah City Pro-Am’ set to take place from February 3-6, 2025. This exciting addition to the Middle East’s golf calendar will see teams of three amateurs and one professional from around the world competing on the Nicklaus Design course in Ajman for the chance to be crowned champions.

In addition to three rounds of golf, participants will have access to Al Zorah’s luxury lifestyle facilities, including a welcome reception and gala dinner at the new Al Zorah Clubhouse set to open this autumn. The clubhouse will feature a pro shop, gym, changing facilities, swimming pool, and dining options, providing players with a top-notch experience throughout the event.

Players will also have the opportunity to experience ‘Quest for Adventure’ at the Al Zorah Natural Reserve, offering water activities around the mangrove forest. Packages for the event start at AED 7,910 for five nights and AED 8,540 for seven nights, with professionals playing for free if participating in a team of three paying amateurs.

The Al Zorah City Pro-Am is sanctioned by the Confederation of Professional Golf (CPG) and will be part of the CPG International Series for the 2024/25 season. General manager of Al Zorah Golf Club, Philip Henderson, expressed excitement for the event marking the course’s tenth anniversary and hopes it will become a staple in the region’s golf calendar.

The proximity of Al Zorah Golf Club, just 40 minutes from Dubai, makes it an attractive destination for players looking for a premium golf experience. The club, part of the larger Al Zorah City development, offers a complete destination with luxury real estate, restaurants, and a wellbeing resort, making it a sought-after location for both golf enthusiasts and tourists.

CPG chief executive Ian Randell welcomed the addition of the Al Zorah City Pro-Am to the International Series schedule, highlighting the fantastic playing opportunity it will provide for professionals and amateurs alike. The event is expected to offer a high-quality experience on and off the course for all participants, further enhancing the golfing calendar in the region.

For more information about the Al Zorah City Pro-Am and to book, interested parties can contact Stephen Payne, Al Zorah’s Golf Operations Manager, at [email protected]. The event promises to showcase the beauty and competition of the region while providing an unforgettable experience for all those involved.
