LPGA Tour 2025: A Season of Promise and Possibilities

The LPGA Tour is gearing up for another thrilling year filled with promise and potential as it seeks to surpass the historic achievements of last season. The 2024 season saw a record 29 different winners, with only two players—Jeeno Thitikul and Miyu Yamashita—securing multiple victories. This remarkable parity sets the stage for an exciting 2025 season.

Record-Breaking Achievements

Last year was noteworthy not just for the number of winners but also for the influx of young talent. Seven rookies secured victories, a tie for the record, and Japan claimed the highest number of winners, with a total of seven. Major champions included Mao Saigo (Chevron Championship), Minjee Lee (KPMG Women’s PGA Championship), Miyu Yamashita (AIG Women’s British Open), Grace Kim (Amundi Evian Championship), and Maja Stark (U.S. Women’s Open).

As Lee and Lydia Ko eye the elusive career Grand Slam, anticipation mounts for the upcoming season.

Leadership and Broadcast Enhancements

New tour commissioner, Craig Kessler, has already implemented significant changes, notably improving television coverage. For the first time since 1995, every round of each tournament will be broadcast live in the U.S. Enhanced broadcasts will feature more cameras, technology, and equipment, promising more engaging content for golf fans following the Asia swing.
