The Procore Championship kicks off the FedEx Cup Fall series at Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa, Calif., where Sahith Theegala is the defending champion. This tournament is the first of eight events that will determine the top 125 players in FedEx Cup points and their eligibility for the 2025 season. The field includes notable players like Max Homa, Wyndham Clark, Corey Conners, Min Woo Lee, and Mackenzie Hughes. The course at Silverado rewards players with solid Total Driving and a good short game, with recent winners like Theegala, Homa, and Stewart Cink showcasing success.

In preparation for the Procore Championship, the expert prognosticator Brady Kannon leaned on statistics like Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, Good Drives Gained, Scrambling, and SG: Approach. In addition, he looked at SG: Par 5’s, Birdies or Better Gained, Hole Proximity from 75-150 yards, and SG: Putting on Poa Annua greens. Correlated courses for this week included TPC Craig Ranch, Memorial Park, Detroit Golf Club, Pebble Beach, and TPC Summerlin. This tournament marks the first full-field event since the Wyndham Championship over a month ago, and Kannon made selections for an outright win and a top-20 finish for each pick.

Among Kannon’s picks for the Procore Championship is Maverick McNealy, who has had success on California courses and finished as a runner-up at both Silverado and Pebble Beach in 2021. J.J. Spaun, another California native, also stands out with strong performances in previous years at Silverado. Eric Cole, coming off several top-15 finishes at correlated courses, is another player to watch with solid statistics in putting, approach play, and scrambling. Chan Kim, a Japan Tour veteran, has shown consistent performance on the PGA Tour and ranks highly in key statistical categories.

Rookie Jacob Bridgeman, who played the Napa event in 2022 and has shown recent good form, rounds out Kannon’s picks for the Procore Championship. With a focus on Ball Striking, Putting, and Scrambling, Bridgeman has the potential to break through for his first Tour victory. Chirp Golf players are also making their picks for the tournament, adding to the excitement and anticipation for the event. Overall, the Procore Championship promises to be an exciting start to the FedEx Cup Fall series with a competitive field and a challenging course layout at Silverado Resort & Spa.
