As the year comes to a close, golf enthusiasts can look forward to some exciting tournaments featuring the best players in the world. While not all of these events are Grand Slams, they still provide a great opportunity to witness top-level golf. In this article, we will highlight some of the upcoming tournaments to watch out for and provide insights into the favorite players to win, based on past performances and odds set by crypto betting sites.

The Presidents Cup, scheduled for September 26-29, 2024, is a biannual tournament between the US players and the rest of the world (excluding Europe). Established in 1994, the event aims to provide players who can’t participate in the Ryder Cup with a chance to shine. The US team, led by stars like Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay, is the defending champion and is favored to retain the title this year.

The BMW PGA Championship, taking place on September 19-22, 2024, is one of the oldest and most prestigious DP World Tour tournaments. With a history dating back to 1955, the winners of this championship often emerge as top players in the world. Rory McIlroy is a strong favorite to win this year’s BMW PGA Championship, based on his past success at European events.

The DP World Tour Championship, scheduled for November 14-17, 2024, serves as the conclusion to the DP World Tour and is played at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. Jon Rahm, who has a remarkable track record in Dubai and major championships, is favored to win the tournament and secure the Dubai Race title. Rahm’s previous wins at Jumeirah Golf Estates make him a top contender for the title.

The Solheim Cup, set for September 13-15, 2024, is the premier team competition in women’s golf, featuring teams from the US and Europe. Established in 1990, the tournament has played a significant role in promoting women’s golf and is known for its intense rivalry between the teams. Team Europe, boasting players like Celine Boutier and Leona Maguire, is favored to win this year’s competition.

The Open de España, scheduled for September 26-29, 2024, is one of the oldest golf tournaments in Europe, with a history dating back to 1912. Adrián Otaegui, a local favorite with recent strong performances, is well-positioned to win the tournament and showcase Spanish talent. Having already secured victories at the 2018 Belgian Knockout and the 2020 Scottish Championship, Otaegui is a strong contender for the title.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, set for October 3-6, 2024, features a unique format that includes both professional and amateur golf players, including celebrities. Played across three historic Scottish courses, the tournament has been a fan favorite since its inception in 2001. Tommy Fleetwood is a top pick to win this year’s championship, according to gambling sites.

The Abu Dhabi Championship, scheduled for November 7-10, 2024, is part of the DP World Tour’s Rolex Series and is considered the European Tour equivalent for the Middle East. Rory McIlroy, a favorite for the event, has a history of strong performances in Abu Dhabi and is known to start the season on a high note.

The Hero World Challenge, hosted by Tiger Woods from December 4-8, 2024, is an exclusive invitational tournament featuring a small group of elite players. While Woods is a favorite to win the event he hosts, his participation remains uncertain due to health reasons. Collin Morikawa or Viktor Hovland could emerge as favorites if Woods is unable to compete.

In conclusion, the end of 2024 promises to deliver thrilling golf tournaments featuring top players from around the world. With clear favorites emerging for each event, fans can expect high-quality competition and exciting performances on the golf course. Whether playing for prestige or charity, these tournaments are sure to captivate audiences and showcase the best of the sport.
