Get Golfing, the UK’s leading charity operating golf and hospitality venues, will be hosting the inaugural G4D Women’s Golf Championship at the Festival of Golf. Last month, Get Golfing announced a groundbreaking partnership with the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) to establish the Get Golfing G4D Series, providing playing opportunities for golfers with disabilities at three leading venues in the UK. The G4D Women’s Golf Championship will be the first female-only disabled golf event in the world, highlighting the global efforts of EDGA to promote golf for disabled individuals and Get Golfing’s commitment to making golf accessible for all.

The international event, the G4D Women’s Golf Championship, will bring together female golfers with a range of disabilities from around the world to compete for the inaugural title. This event will set a benchmark for future golf tournaments for female golfers living with disabilities. The Championship will be held at The Club at Mill Green on August 27th and 28th, 2024, as part of the Festival of Golf, just two days before the Ladies European Tour Access Series Women’s Golf Championship.

As the most inclusive club operator globally, Get Golfing has been working closely with EDGA to ensure that their staff, courses, clubhouses, and community areas are as inclusive-friendly and accessible as possible. This commitment emphasizes Get Golfing’s dedication to providing an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the sport of golf. The G4D Women’s Golf Championship further showcases the commitment of both EDGA and Get Golfing to supporting female golf at all levels and enriching the lives of females and families through golf.

In the image above, we see Dan Lucking, the Interim CEO of Get Golfing, Aimi Bullock, the Director of Women’s Golf at EDGA, Emma Robinson, the Charities, Communities, and Apprenticeships Director, and Dr. Tony Bennett, the President of EDGA. The collaboration between Get Golfing and EDGA not only provides playing opportunities for golfers with disabilities but also helps to raise awareness and support for female golfers at all levels. The G4D Women’s Golf Championship will be a significant event that showcases the talents and abilities of female golfers with disabilities and sets the stage for future inclusive tournaments.

As the first female-only disabled golf event, the G4D Women’s Golf Championship will bring together a diverse group of female golfers from around the world to compete in a supportive and inclusive environment. The event will not only showcase the skills and determination of these athletes but also highlight the importance of making golf accessible to everyone. Get Golfing’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility is evident in their partnership with EDGA and their dedication to providing a welcoming environment for all golfers, regardless of ability.

The G4D Women’s Golf Championship is a historic event that represents a significant step forward in promoting inclusivity and diversity in the world of golf. By providing a platform for female golfers with disabilities to showcase their talents and compete on an international stage, the Championship highlights the importance of creating opportunities for all golfers to participate in the sport. The collaboration between Get Golfing and EDGA is a testament to their shared commitment to supporting female golfers and promoting the values of inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity in the golfing community.
