Review of the Aretara Alpha One Series Shaft

Aretera is a relatively new name in the golf industry, but the brains behind the brand have a proven track record of designing high-performance shafts. Alex Dee, who was previously the VP at Fujikura and played a key role in the success of the Ventus shafts, has now created the Aretera Alpha One Series shafts, which are making waves in the golf world.

The Aretera Alpha One Series shafts are visually striking with a bright white base color and bold gold, blue, and gray graphics. The branding is prominently displayed on the shaft, though some may find the fade to gray near the tip to be a bit distracting. Overall, the shafts look impressive both in pictures and in person.

When it comes to feel, the Aretera Alpha One Series shafts deliver a smooth and active sensation. The Alpha One Blue shaft is particularly smooth, with energy flowing seamlessly from the grip to the club head. On the other hand, the Alpha One Gray is slightly stiffer in the tip, offering a smoother feel that is still responsive. Both shafts provide a pleasant experience during the swing.

In terms of performance, the Aretera Alpha One Series shafts excel in dispersion and accuracy. Despite the smooth feel, both shafts produce shots that are surprisingly straight and consistent. The POWERGRID technology in the shafts helps distribute forces evenly and store more energy, resulting in more forgiveness and improved torsional stiffness. Additionally, the shafts offer different spin rates, with the Blue shaft producing higher spin compared to the Gray shaft.

There are a total of ten offerings in the Aretera Alpha One Series, with a variety of weight and flex options to choose from. The Alpha One Gray comes in 65 or 75 grams, with 4 (stiff) or 5 (X) flex options. On the other hand, the Alpha One Blue is available in three weight options: 55, 65, and 75 grams, with different flex options for each weight. This range of choices allows golfers to find the perfect fit for their swing.

Overall, the Aretera Alpha One Series shafts make a strong impression with their combination of feel, dispersion, and performance. Whether you prefer a smoother feel with higher spin or a slightly stiffer tip with lower spin, these shafts offer something for every golfer. With the innovative POWERGRID technology and striking design, the Aretera Alpha One Series shafts are a must-try for any golfer looking to enhance their game.
