Yuka Saso, the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open champion, added another title to her list of accomplishments by winning the 2024 edition at Lancaster C.C. in Pennsylvania. Despite facing a two-shot deficit heading into the final round, Saso showed remarkable resilience and skill to secure her second U.S. Women’s Open victory. The young golfer rebounded from a four-putt double bogey with four birdies on the final nine holes, becoming the youngest player to win two U.S. Women’s Opens.

After the setback on the sixth hole, Saso showcased her talent with impressive shots on the back nine. A crucial tee shot on the 12th hole set her up for a birdie, followed by a stellar wedge shot on the 13th that helped her take the lead. Saso continued her momentum with a brilliant 5-iron shot on the 15th hole, leading to another birdie. A successful drive on the 16th hole further extended her lead, ultimately securing her victory despite a three-putt bogey on the 17th.

Saso’s equipment played a significant role in her success at the U.S. Women’s Open. Her Callaway Apex CB and Apex MB 21 irons, paired with a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver, contributed to her impressive performance off the tee and on the green. Ranked third in driving distance and strokes gained off the tee, Saso’s strategic club selection and skillful shots proved crucial in clinching the championship title. Additionally, her prowess on the greens, ranking first in strokes gained/putting, further solidified her victory.

In addition to her exceptional play, Saso’s equipment choices also played a key role in her success. Using a Callaway Chrome Tour X ball, a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver, and a mix of Callaway irons and wedges, Saso’s setup allowed her to execute precise shots and capitalize on scoring opportunities throughout the tournament. Her Odyssey Ai One Milled 3T putter also proved to be a reliable tool on the greens.

With her victory at the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open, Yuka Saso solidified her status as one of the top players in women’s golf. Her skill, determination, and strategic equipment choices have consistently propelled her to success on the course. As she continues to showcase her talent and compete at the highest level, Saso’s impressive performances are sure to inspire the next generation of golfers and cement her legacy in the sport. Congratulations to Yuka Saso on her second U.S. Women’s Open victory and her continued success in the world of golf.
