The Rocket Mortgage Classic is set to kick off in Detroit, Michigan, and although it may not have the star-studded field of previous events, there are still opportunities for betting and excitement. The tournament, in its sixth edition, has seen winners like Rickie Fowler, Adam Hadwin, and Collin Morikawa in the past. The Detroit Golf Club, a par-72 course stretching nearly 7,400 yards, promises a birdie fest with past winning scores well under par.

Key statistics to consider when making picks for the Rocket Mortgage Classic include Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, Good Drives Gained, Birdies or Better Gained, Strokes Gained: Approach, and Strokes Gained: Putting. The wide fairways and lack of rough at the Detroit Golf Club make it favorable for bombers like Tony Finau and Bryson DeChambeau, but shorter hitters have also found success on this course.

Among the players to watch out for at the Rocket Mortgage Classic are Stephen Jaeger, who has proven success at Detroit Golf Club with ninth and fifth-place finishes in the past two editions. Jaeger excels in driving off the tee, improved putting skills, and short-iron approaches. Davis Thompson, known for his length off the tee and ability to rack up birdies, also presents a strong chance to perform well in the weaker field this week.

Another contender to consider is Ben Griffin, who recently displayed good form by finishing runner-up at the Canadian Open and showing consistent finishes in previous tournaments. Griffin’s strong approach game and ability to make birdies make him a promising pick for the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Additionally, longshot Jacob Bridgeman, who has strong statistics in SG: Approach and Birdies or Better Gained, could be worth a bet given the lack of star power in the field this week.

Chirp users also have their picks for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with an opportunity to win amazing prizes through the free-to-play mobile platform. By downloading the Chirp app, fans can make their own predictions and engage in the action without risking any money. As the tournament unfolds, it will be exciting to see which players rise to the occasion and emerge victorious at the Detroit Golf Club.
