Buffalo Groupe, a widely known marketing company with a large client list in the golf industry, has recently been acquired by ClubWorks, a Florida-based company specializing in the club, leisure, and hospitality industries. Although Buffalo Groupe will remain a separate entity based in Charleston, S.C., it will now operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ClubWorks. Kyle Ragsdale will continue to serve as CEO, while Emily Clark has been promoted to president and chief marketing officer of Buffalo Groupe. Both Ragsdale and Clark will also join ClubWorks’ board of directors.

Founded more than 20 years ago, Buffalo Groupe originally started as Buffalo Agency before being rebranded in 2019 with a focus on clients in golf, travel, and real estate. The company employs around 100 individuals across the country and has worked with notable clients such as the USGA, Club Champion, Casa de Campo resort, Omni Hotels, and Golf Channel. Their success has been attributed to their strategy of utilizing highly engaged industries like golf as effective marketing platforms.

ClubWorks, established in 2022, is a professional services platform that includes various subsidiaries such as Peacock + Lewis, JBD JGA Design and Architecture, Private Club Films, Visionary Spectacle Studios, and GGA Partners. By adding Buffalo Groupe to their portfolio, ClubWorks aims to enhance their offerings by providing leading expertise in creative, digital marketing, events, public relations, and research to their existing clients and prospects. Michael Leemhuis, chairman and CEO of ClubWorks, emphasized the importance of assembling best-in-class firms with specialized expertise to cater to the unique needs of club, leisure, and hospitality businesses.

The acquisition of Buffalo Groupe by ClubWorks signifies a strategic move towards expanding the range of services offered by both companies. Buffalo Groupe’s proven track record in the golf industry, combined with ClubWorks’ focus on the club, leisure, and hospitality sectors, creates a powerful synergy that can benefit clients across various industries. With an emphasis on creative marketing strategies, digital innovation, and research-driven approaches, the partnership between Buffalo Groupe and ClubWorks is poised to deliver exceptional value to clients seeking to enhance their market presence and engagement with customers.

The collaboration between Buffalo Groupe and ClubWorks reflects a shared commitment to providing top-tier services and expertise to clients in the club, leisure, and hospitality industries. By leveraging Buffalo Groupe’s deep understanding of the golf industry and ClubWorks’ specialized knowledge in club and leisure sectors, the newly formed partnership is well-positioned to offer a comprehensive suite of marketing solutions tailored to the unique needs of their diverse client base. With a focus on delivering innovative and results-driven marketing strategies, Buffalo Groupe and ClubWorks are poised to lead the way in helping businesses achieve their marketing goals and drive growth in their respective industries.

As Buffalo Groupe integrates into the ClubWorks family of companies, clients can expect to benefit from an expanded range of services and expertise that cater to the evolving needs of the club, leisure, and hospitality industries. With a team of experienced professionals and a shared commitment to excellence, Buffalo Groupe and ClubWorks are well-equipped to offer cutting-edge solutions that drive engagement, increase brand visibility, and deliver measurable results for their clients. By combining their strengths and resources, the partnership between Buffalo Groupe and ClubWorks sets a new standard for marketing excellence in the golf, club, leisure, and hospitality industries.
