Dallas Maverick Klay Thompson should consider purchasing this luxurious golf ranch as his new compound

Klay Thompson, a basketball star and golf enthusiast, recently left the Golden State Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks. With a new contract in hand, he is now searching for a new home. One potential option is the Right Mix Ranch in Joshua, Texas, priced at $5.85 million and located half an hour south of Fort Worth. This 24-acre property features a nine-hole par-30 golf course, a main house, and four high-end guest cabins, making it an ideal space for Thompson and his guests.

The main house at the Right Mix Ranch may be smaller than what Thompson is used to, at 1,750 square feet, but the additional guest cabins provide plenty of room for visitors. The golf course utilizes a criss-cross pattern of two synthetic tees and six synthetic greens, leaving plenty of space for potential future developments, such as a mega-mansion. The property is fully irrigated by its own well, which also feeds a pond stocked with trophy bass and catfish. In addition, there is an RV pad and water storage tanks for visiting relatives.

One of the major benefits of the Right Mix Ranch for Thompson is the tax savings. In California, Thompson paid a significant amount in state income tax on his $40 million salary from the Warriors last year. However, with his new three-year, $50 million deal with the Mavericks, he will not have to pay any state income tax in Texas. This tax advantage is a driving factor for many professional athletes, including golfers like Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Bryson DeChambeau, and Patrick Reed, to live in the Dallas metroplex.

Thompson’s interest in golf also makes the Right Mix Ranch an appealing choice for him. The property offers a unique opportunity for him to practice and enjoy the sport he loves without having to travel to a public course. The serene setting of the ranch, with its own private golf course and well-maintained grounds, provides a peaceful retreat for Thompson to relax and unwind after rigorous basketball games and practices.

Overall, the Right Mix Ranch in Joshua, Texas presents a compelling option for Klay Thompson as he transitions to a new team and seeks a new home. The property’s amenities, tax advantages, and proximity to major cities like Fort Worth and Dallas make it an attractive choice for a professional athlete like Thompson. With its combination of luxury, privacy, and recreational opportunities, the ranch could be the perfect place for Thompson to settle down and enjoy a well-rounded lifestyle that includes both basketball and golf.
