In an impressive year for Scottie Scheffler on the PGA Tour, 2024 has also seen a surge of first-time winners making their mark on the tour. With nine first-time winners in a variety of tournaments across the globe, it has been a season of surprises and breakthrough victories. From rookies to seasoned veterans, these players have proven that anything is possible in the world of golf.

One of the standout moments of the year came in January, when an amateur player secured his first-ever victory on the PGA Tour – a feat that hadn’t been accomplished in 33 years. This historic moment set the tone for a year filled with unexpected triumphs and record-breaking performances. From California to Florida, and Canada to Mexico, these first-time winners have put their names in the history books and joined an exclusive club of PGA Tour champions.

As the season progresses and more tournaments are scheduled, there is no doubt that a couple more first-time winners will emerge. However, with the final major championship of the year and the FedEx Cup Playoffs on the horizon, the focus is on the players who have already made a name for themselves this season. Let’s take a closer look at the players who have captured their first PGA Tour victory in 2024 and the stories behind their remarkable achievements.

Nick Dunlap made headlines after winning The American Express golf tournament at the PGA West Stadium Course. Matthieu Pavon secured his first victory at the Farmers Insurance Open held at Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course. Jake Knapp celebrated his victory at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta, while Austin Eckroat claimed the top spot at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. Stephan Jaeger emerged victorious at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, and Taylor Pendrith of Canada triumphed at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

Chris Gotterup’s win at the 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic and Robert MacIntyre’s victory at the RBC Canadian Open were also standout moments in a season filled with first-time winners. Finally, Davis Thompson’s triumph at the John Deere Classic rounded out the list of players who have made their mark on the PGA Tour in 2024. Each of these players has a unique story and a journey to their first victory, showcasing the depth of talent and determination on the tour. As the season continues, fans are eager to see who will be the next to join the ranks of first-time winners on the PGA Tour.
